What is Sugaring?
An amazing, 100% natural alternative to waxing for those with very sensitive skin. Sugaring will never burn the skin as it is barely lukewarm and is applied at body temperature. Sugaring is a gentler form of hair removal as the paste itself adheres solely to the dead skin cells, rather than live skin cells, which means less irritation and discomfort. The skin is left feeling, soft, smooth and clean as the ingredients in the sugar paste are great skin exfoliators. The sugar paste we use is made locally here in BC. Different Types of Bikini Waxes Explained:
Classic Bikini – Hair removed in the crease of the leg on both sides of the bikini area and along the top. Targeting the areas that are exclusively visible from a bathing suit.
French Bikini – Hair removed slightly higher on both sides. Neither the labia or bum areas have hair removed with a French Bikini.
Brazilian – Complete removal of pubic hair. This means all the hair in the front, back, and everything in between is removed. #BAREITALL
Brazilian with Landing Strip – This is also a Brazilian, but leaving a landing strip. As much or as little hair can be left, but if anymore hair is removed than the French, it’s technically a Brazilian.
Brazilian with Triangle – This is also a Brazilian, but leaving a little triangle on top.

SOFT WAX, HARD WAX, OR SUGARING? WHAT’S THE DEAL?

SOFT WAX
Soft wax is great for all body parts, but we recommend it on larger body parts such as legs, arms and back. The wax we use is a Canadian made cream wax that is great for all skin types. The wax is applied with disposable sticks ( we NEVER double dip) and then removed with strips.
HARD WAX
Hard wax is great for smaller areas of the body, we recommend it for the face area, underarms and bikini/Brazilian areas. This wax adheres to the hair and not skin, is not removed with strips. Many people prefer this method over the soft wax and say it less painful. We do not use hard wax on large parts of the body(ie. Arms or legs)
SUGARING
Sugaring is an excellent option for hair removal especially on the bikini/Brazilian areas. We are so proud to use a local sugar handmade right here in BC. It’s completely natural, eco-friendly and oh so gentle on the skin. The sugar paste is applied against the hair growth and removed in the direction of growth. This makes it a great option because it produces less pressure on the hair shaft, leading to less breakage, and resulting in smoother skin. It is also heated at very low temperature so will not burn skin. Once you get sugared, you’ll probably never go back to waxing! Just saying!
